Solution for new VAG pin code ? (5 digits)
Ivan 2008-11-21 14:22:13
Earlyer, we could code new keys to for example Audi a6 3.0 TDI quatt. model year 2006, all you needed was new blank key, pin code was 4 digits, there were various of ways to do this... but now, when you go to authorized dealership service, they reprogram your ecu & immo with new software that has 5-digits pin code, and there is no way to code new keys to car even if you have one original key that starts car, even if you have pin code, as I figured it out you must have 'prepared' new key JUST for especialy that car...

If you don't have any keys, just new blank key there is no solution...
or is there???

Thanks

There never was a 4 digit code. Immobilizer tools may display 4 digits but the code was input with 5 digits. Newer Audi certainly has 5 digit codes displayed in the Immobilizer tools.

So far, from the ones that I have done, new and old keys have been adapted with no problems. As an example, using the CodeCard tools with the A4 Crypto, 4 digits were displayed and 5 digits were entered. Using the CodeCard Kessy software is similar. I had a 2004 A8 with 5 digit display and a 2005 A8 with 4 digit display. Both were entered with 5 digits and all the new keys were adapted.

I always use an OEM Vag-Com to adapt the controllers or keys.

The CodeCard for the VAG group, perfect!
