| Post the details, some of these eeproms needs a Chrystal to be shorted or the eeprom needs to be removed. I test with a blank eeprom and read/write data to it with the CarProg. I have no problems. |

| i always remove eeprom from board before reading and writing, the problem i beleive must be from the carprog,it can never report `no chip connected`when i select 24cxx in the software and did not connect any chip un like 93c56 and others | ||||

| That's strange, my CarProg reads everything on the PCB. Maybe you should look at your connections and clips. | ||||

| you did not understand me,i mean if i just connect carprog to my computer and select carprog software, select eeprom 24xx,without connecting the clip,if i press read,it will read and verify okey insted of reporting chip not connected ,and no dump will be seen | ||||

| Then update your CarProg like I did. If you still have errors, contact support and make sure you made the internal updates. | ||||

| I told you to get a NEW eeprom and write to it. Test the clip and the connections using a multimeter. Go to the site and build the test adapter. http://www.codecard.lt/carprog/a9-carprog-hardware-test-adapter/prod_289.html Build it and test the CarProg. Does the Carprog read other eeprom? |
