2001 renault laguna 2 dashboard using D1 and A15

| Small problem just updated to full and i have used dash in workshop for laguna 2 so thought id try to do mileage by dash connector, using D1 and A15 and external 12vdc power supply. I can read eeprom, and read mileage (bit out though). When i modify eeprom and write back writes perfectly, but when i power up on bench mileage hasnt changed??? And when i read eeprom, still same as original file. Must it be connected to car or am i missing something Thanks for all replies Graham |

the mask of my mcu in dash is 3k85K with security, so am i correct in assuming thats why it couldnt be done threw cluster plug????????? |
