ecu problem edc16u1 can bus problem

i have one touran 1.9 tdi whith edc16u1 i have one problem sometimes whith can bus whne i have this problem the car dont star the engine and all the ligh of the dash is on , because ecu dont have conection whith dash , i think that is a comun problem.i dotn have any ecu whith the same hw and i need repair this.

can be the problem by the driver of the ecu ??
what is the ic driver for this ecu ?? is the same of the audi a3 or need other ?

if some body can say to me what is the ic that i need to buy here for repair this please

The first thing you need to do is read the fault codes in all the computers. Once you read all the fault codes, save a copy of the fault codes, then delete all the fault codes. If you have CAN fault codes, then you should use a scan tool to see if the CAN connections are active. In most computers, groups 125 to 130 may indicate of there is a CAN problem. If you see a "1" then the connection should be good, if you see a "0" then you may have a problem.
Look for accident damage, water damage or wiring harness problem where rodents may have had a meal with the harness. CAN messages can also be tested with an oscilloscope. Changing the IC is the last resort, diagnose the problem first.
