Dear Ramis, My new VW login reader which has just arrived will not work. The software is telling me that the firmware is too old. I have seen a previous post with the same problem which you appear to have solved with some different software, can you do the same for me please? The Id code is 2005LR7N73.( Maybe you have sent me an old interface by mistake ?) When I order the diesel edc key code reader will i have the same problem ? Best Regards Neil.

Hi Raimis, I received your email saying that the device i returned to you tested ok. I have used 1 pc with standard com port, 1 laptop with standard com port and a different laptop with usb/rs232 convereter. The devices would communicate with the PC to update with bin files but always , error message firmware too old . I have used different cars and i have used a A4 Audi 1999 vdo which a cheap chinese tool will read the pin and adjust the mileage easily. What do you suggest i do? Can you advise what i might be doing wrong?. Thanks Neil.

niel. are you in uk?. i use login reader quite often. its a pretty good tool but wont work with all dashes, i would gladly try your tool for you if you are ever in manchester. just let me know and we could work something out.

raimis, neil has sent his login reader to me and i get same message (firmware too old). is it possible for me to update his unit with my firmware?. also when i try to read login it does not show any firmware version at the top of the programme window.

ok, so i put neils login reader id into my updates and got the bin file for his unit, updated the same way i do mine and i still get the message firmware too old.but i use my login reader with no problem

Have had my interface checked by 2 other users now and both say unit is faulty. Gary came to my garage with his codecard login reader and his unit read pincode of my A3, We then tried my unit and as always firmware too old, using his laptop and lead. Months have gone by now and i still have no working unit, what will you do for me? Will you send me a working unit or send me my money back? I would prefer a working interface, hopefully, Neil.
